Allergies can present in many ways.  The most common presentation seen with environmental allergies are itchy eyes and a runny nose.  However, depending on the severity of exposure and a patient’s sensitization, other symptoms such as difficulty breathing, hives , headaches and fatigue can be present.

Food allergies can also run the spectrum from an itchy mouth and tongue to abdominal pain, swelling of the lips and tongue, diarrhea, hives, shortness of breath and anaphylaxis.
